A fantastic route following footpaths and trails including parts of the Pennine Way, visiting 5 local trig points around Delph, Saddleworth.18 miles (ish) with 3000 feet of ascent.
The route is not marked and participants must navigate themselves to each checkpoint in the correct ascending order (1 to 9).
The route shown is only a recommended route and you can make your own way as long as you stick to public right of ways/paths/tracks/roads.
Also, three manned checkpoints en route providing snacks and drinks. Free soup and hot drinks at the end.
Runners start at 10am with an option to start at 9am if they feel they cannot make the cut off times. All walkers start at 9am.
Full kit will be required including full waterproofs, map and compass, hat and gloves, spare clothing and food.
